I decided to give this utensil a try after using and loving the Orka silicone spoons. I normally avoid slotted turners because they are so difficult to clean after getting eggs or cheese into the slots. This one is great when it comes to effortless clean up of any food from the slots with only a little soap and water. It is a little "flimsy" however, and bends a bit too much if you are trying to flip a heavy omelet or stuffed meat pattie. I would have given it five stars if it could flip the heavy items. I didn't know that when I bought this "spatula" that it was a "spoon spatula." Nowhere in the description does it say that the head of this spatula is only 1.5 inches wide. It says "spoon spatula" on a sticker on the item when you take it out of the box, but nothing about it in the description. I blame myself for not researching its size, but that should have been listed. It is a great product though, nonstick and doesn't melt, but I was expecting something different. A better description and more research on my part would have circumvented this problem.

However, I purchased this spatula for a specific purpose - to constantly stir custard during the cooking process over a low flame. If the tip were a bit more firm, the thickening custard would not have collected at the bottom of the pot during the stirring process. The soft, flexible tip just slid over the thickened custard rather than moving it along.
